OSA encourages all players at the U8-10 level to participate in the Developmental Program. This program is offered to the younger player who wants more specific coaching to develop their skills and understanding of positional play.

Using teaching methods approved by the US Club Soccer program, coaching set up lesson plans that focus on passing, dribbling, ball control, 1v1 attacking and defending, turning the ball, shooting, crossing and finishing. Tactically, coaches will teach the principles of attack play, group defense, possession, switching the play, transition, counter attack, finishing in the final third, playing out of the back, and combination of play.
