Calendar of Events

The following schedule is proposed for the calendar year of 2004. Subject to revisions by OSA.

U15-17 players

January - Team Training
Jan 6-Feb 5 - Winter Outdoor Season begins with pre-season practices. Practices are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7-8:30pm at PGE Park and Sat mornings (time and location TBA).
Mid-Jan - Game schedule will be available.

Feb to March - Winter Season League games
Feb 3-Mar 31 - Practices continue on Tuesdays and Thursdays; no Saturday practices.
Feb 7-Mar 14 - Winter Season League games. Games will be played on Sat/Sun.
Mar 20-28 - Spring Break (Portland Public), no games or practices scheduled.
Mar 30 - Practices resume.

April to May - Winter Season League continues
Apr 3-4 - Tournament: State Cup.
Apr 10-11 - Tournament: State Cup continues.
Apr 17-18 - Tournament: State Cup continues.
Apr 24-25 - Tournament: State Cup semi-finals.
May 1 - Tournament: State Cup finals.

June to Aug - Team Training and Summer Tournaments Summer is a time to prepare for High School Tryouts in the Fall! OSA will host teams to compete in summer tournaments and offer weekly practices. Although several tournaments are listed below, each team will participate in 3 summer tournaments. Team coaches will confirm the tournament schedule by mid-June.
Jun 15 - Practice starts on a Tue/Thu schedule; location and times TBA.
Jun 25-27* - Tournament TBA
Jun 30-Jul 5 - Player Break, no practices or games scheduled.
Jul 6 - Practices resume
Jul 8-11* - Tournament: FC Portland Cup*
Jul 16-25* - Tournament: Beaverton Cup*
Jul 30-Aug 1* - Tournament: Salem Waterfront Classic

Aug 6-8* - Tournament: Chinook Cup*
Aug 19 - Final summer practice
Sep to Nov - High School Soccer Season

Nov to Dec - Winter 2004-05 Outdoor Season tryouts for U15-18 teams
Nov 21 - Tryouts for 2004-05 Winter League Soccer. Tryouts will be at Oregon Episcopal School. Schedule TBA.
Nov 23 - Notification of Player Acceptance. Coaches will contact players and their families with the results of the tryouts.
Dec 1* - Parent Meeting for players accepted to an OSA team. Attendance required. Parents of players chosen for the Oregon Soccer Academy will meet and be introduced to coaches and board members, review the regulations of the club, and given more detailed information about the expectations of players and parents. Specific date, time, and location will be announced.
