Spring Outdoor Soccer is a season intended to prepare the U11-14 player for classic soccer tryouts held in May. The focus of the season will be to develop individual skills and tactics, enhance player's techniques, promote a system of play, and encourage understanding of field positions.

SEASON - February through April

TRYOUT - Tryouts are not necessary to join an OSA team for the Spring season. Preferrence is given to returning OSA fall season members; new players will be added as the rosters allow.

TEAMS - Teams play 11v11
Rosters will be limited to 18 players per team.
OSA will form as many teams as necessary to accommodate the interest level.
Rosters will be formed on a first-come, first-served basis with preferrence given to returning OSA fall season members. Register early to ensure your spot!

PRACTICE - February through April
Tuesday and Thursday evenings; time TBA.
PGE Park, Portland State University, and/or West Hills Christian School.

GAMES - March through April
Saturdays and/or Sundays
Schedule TBA
Portland-metro area primarily

FEE - $375 per player
Included: OYSA membership, practices, games, coaching, field rental, coaching equipment, administration
Not included: uniform

UNIFORM - New Players (returning players use their fall season gear):

White socks (player provided)
Shin guards (player provided)
Soccer shoes (player provided; turf shoes acceptable, cleats preferred)

DEADLINE - Register by January 1, 2007
